Good Homes & Faces Have What in Common?

FOUNDATION! That’s what. Your home should start with a a great foundation as should your face.  :-) Without an amazing foundation  I don’t think any woman looks her best. You may look ok, have the best skin in the world, but once you’re over the age of 30, you need foundation.

Now what I’m about to share with you in the following review is rather scary. Me bare faced, but in the “Scar Face” kind of way. One half is bare and the other half is all about Mia Mariu Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Foundation Vainilla. I spelled that correctly and find that to be the cutest play on vanilla ever. We all know how I like creative words and names. FAith VEra became FaVe and well since I’m a mom, there you have it. FaVe Mom. So, vanilla becoming vainilla is just too creative and makes me HAPPY!

Recently, I received the above items from Mia Mariu. Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Foundation Vainilla, Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Concealer Vainilla, Intense Lip Liner Canela (Plum), and Intense Eye Liner Black.

Again, prepare yourself for the photos you’re about to see below. You can always turn back now to avoid seeing the half make-up and half bare face. :)

Talking faces I should tell you that I’m not going to give any of you a tutorial on how to apply makeup. We all apply it differently and you should apply it the way that works best for you. Some use brushes, some use sponges, some use their fingers.

Mia Mariu provides a medium-to-full coverage in a creamy blend that looks like my very LIGHT and pasty skin. It has not caused me to break out, which is more than I can say for most of the foundations I’ve tried. I applied the Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Concealer Vainilla with my a q-tip. I don’t like getting my own oils and bacteria in my little containers so that is the only reason I didn’t just stick my finger in the tub and put it directly on my face. I then applied the Perfecting Finish Mineral Cream Foundation Vainilla with the sponge that came included with it. Again I used a q-tip to put it on the sponge and then made sure to put the plastic piece back on top before putting the sponge back. I then applied the Intense Lip Liner Canela (Plum) and Intense Eye Liner Black and I’m only wearing Mia Mariu products in these photos and only the ones they supplied.

What can you do when you’re posting a half bare-faced photo of yourself on the internet. Snap the photo and move on. Note: Forgive the hair, I didn’t style it. I had CrossFit today and it totally KICKED MY ARSE!

The right side of the photo or left side of my face is me without one single drop of makeup. :-(( Pretty darn scary if you ask me. The left is what happens with a great and solid foundation. What’s great is that the foundation is an oil-free mineral hydrating formula that provides long wear, water resistant and luminous buildable coverage with perfectly balanced color pigments proven to meet skin tones without ash tones, opaqueness, or mask-like effect just a natural perfectly matched radiant tone. It honestly “helps improve the look of problem skin like rosacea, acne and discoloration and contains Green Tea extract, Vitamin A, C and E (10g).” There are no synthetic chemicals in Mia Mariu either. HALLELUJAH I say!

Notice the redness and dark circle under my eye above. Notice below that’s all gone. Also notice that I actually have lips.

I took the above photos with my iPhone which was simply because I took the half bare faced ones with my iPhone and it would have been a non-realistic review if I posted photos with a better camera. Rest assured my skin is not red at all actually, that is just the flash. It’s completely even and I have ZERO CIRCLES under my eyes. YAY!

If the above isn’t reason enough for you to try it, perhaps their Giving Program will be. As you all are well aware we’re military wives on here. Additionally speaking, I started a non-profit with Frances in memory of SFC Jared C. Monti, called Celebrate the Military Child. We support our military and this post going up around Veteran’s Day is only befitting.

Mia Mariu supports Wounded Warriors Wives and that’s just fantastic. Straight from their page, “Mía believes that every woman is a hero in many ways and with many people in her life. Her dreams motivate her to remain determined and focused but it is her tribulations that ignite her passion. Our goal is reach out and put a name to these amazingly beautiful women. Mía is a proud supporter of Wounded Warriors Wives, a program of Operation Homefront dedicated to recognize, inspire and comfort the women who sacrifice so much to care for our country’s wounded warriors. We are committed to making their journey a little more pleasant, a little less alone and a lot more appreciated.” Support a local cause and look great doing it. :)

You know I love SURPRISES so what am I offering to all of you? You guessed it! Another amazing giveaway sponsored by Mia Mariu. You can win one of each of the make up items I enjoyed in your color of choice. :)
